Liberal Police Officers Respond to Tire Explosion

On Wedneday morning around 8:21AM, Liberal Police officers were dispatched to the 200 Block of Western Pancake Boulevard for reports of a male subject who had been injured following an accidental rupturing and explosion of a tractor trailer tire. LPD Officers Nathan Brennon and Juan Ramirez arrived on scene and began first response duties and triage until Liberal Fire Department personnel arrived to stabilize the patient. Sgt. Josiah Smiddy was also on scene to assist. The male patient was transported to Southwest Medical Center for treatment of his injuries.

Liberal Police Department Administration applaud the outstanding efforts of these officers in completion of their duties.
