Liberal Police Investigate New Years Day Armed Robbery

OnJanuary 1st, 2021at 9:49PM, Liberal Police officers were dispatched to U-Pump-It gas station and convenience store located at 1001 North Kansas Avenue for reports of an armed robbery that had occurred. An investigation immediately began and revealed two unidentified males entered the building and loitered until the facility was emptied of customers. Once empty, one of the suspect’s approached the front counter and displayed a handgun. The suspects demanded cash and a box of cigarillos. Both suspects then fled south from the business with approximately $150.00 in cash.

The suspects have yet to be identified and LPD is requesting the public’s assistance in doing so.  If anyone has any information regarding these individuals or this robbery, please contact Detective Conner Cook or the Liberal Police Department at 620-626-0140.
