Liberal Police Investigate Assault and Battery

Saturday night, February 20th at approximately 11:46pm, Liberal Police officers responded to the 700 block of South Western Avenue in reference to an aggravated burglary. Upon arrival, officers located an 18 year old male who stated he had been at a party and had been battered by a 15 year old male. The 18 year old male had left the party and was followed by the 15 year old male, a 13 year old male, and a 16 year old male who kicked in the door to the residence where they continued the battery.

The 18 year old was transported to Southwest Medical Center by Seward County EMS for medical treatment. All three juvenile males have been located and have multiple charges including Aggravated Battery, Aggravated Burglary, and Criminal Threat.
