Liberal Man Dies After Striking Electric Pole on South Kansas

A Liberal man lost his life Monday night after crashing a car into an electric pole a mile south of Liberal. Sixty-nine year old Daniel Delarosa was traveling south in a 1992 Lincoln Towncar on South Kansas Avenue just west of U83 when it left the road into the south bound ditch and struck an electric pole. The vehicle came to rest facing southeast. The accident occurred at about 9:25 Monday night. Delarosa was pronounced dead at about 11:45 after he was taken to Southwest Medical Center.
