Brock Kappelmann - August 27, 2018 7:15 am

The Lady Skins got off to a good start this year winning the dual tennis
meet against Ashland on Saturday. Led by the singles play of Priscilla
Vasquez and Rebecca Irby, the Lady Skins won team honors.

After the tournament Coach Chase Ashley from Seward County Community College
provided a clinic for all participating girls. It was great to see the
college athletes working with our girls.

Individual Results:

Singles-Rebecca Irby went 2-0 with dominating performances of 8-3 and 8-1.

Singles-Priscilla Vasquez was equally impressive with wins of 8-1 and 8-0.

Doubles-Riddhi Bombaywala & Romina Gonzalez went 0-2 but with games 0f 5-8,
and 3-8, their contribution helped with team points.

Doubles-Elena Camacho & Jazayra Monge went 0-2 but gained valuable
experience.

The Lady Skins JV team travels to Cimarron on Tuesday. Varsity travels to
Ulysses on September 6th.
