Liberal Fizzles in the Fourth Against #7 Bartlesville

KSCB News - December 8, 2012 7:27 am

Liberal did a lot of things well Friday night against #7 class 6A Bartlesville, Oklahoma. But LHS did not finish well in the fourth quarter in a 59-39 loss.

The Redskins (1-2) led the Bruins (2-0) 12-10 after one quarter and trailed the Bruins just 39-34 after three quarters. But Bartlesville finished the game on a 20-5 run to win handily.

Britton Abbott led the Redskins with 11. Liberal hed BYU signee Jakob Hartsock to eight points. Liberal rebounded well most of the game. Both teams committed 18 turnovers. Liberal missed a lot of shots in the paint similar to their game against Holcomb the week before.

Liberal plays 2-7 Hereford at about 5:45 in the Big House Saturday evening. Tyrone native James Bell is Hereford’s head coach. Lawton held off Hereford 59-43 in the afternoon game. The LHS game airs on Talkradio 1270 tonight.
