Liberal Firefighters Extinguish Truck Fire

Liberal firefighters were dispatched to the parking lot of Westlake Ace Hardware Saturday morning at approximately 8:45. Upon arrival, firefighters discovered a red pick up truck in the Westlake parking lot with smoke rolling from under the hood. Crews were able to pry open the hood of the pick up and quickly put the fire out. The fire appeared to have been started by electrical problems under the hood of the truck. The Liberal Fire Department responded with 2 fire trucks and 6 firefighters. The Liberal Police Department was also on scene to keep onlookers away from the area.
