Liberal City Commission Meets, Upgrades Computers

The Liberal City Commission met for their regular meeting Tuesday evening at 6:30pm in the City Commission Chambers. Approved was the moving to a second reading, Ordinance 4407. This would establish a Franchise Agreement between the City and United Wireless is it passes the Second Reading at the next meeting. No action was taken on the condemnation of property at 11 S. Pershing, as the owner removed the structure in question from the property. Also approved were computer and software purchases for the Communications Department in the amount of $5836.00 with 60% of the total to be paid by the City and 40% by Seward County as per mutual agreement. Computers and Software upgrades were also approved for the Municipal Court at a cost of $6406. The next meeting of the Liberal City Commission is set for January 22nd.
