Liberal City Commission Meets, Approves Wastewater Treatment Agreements

The Liberal City Commission met Tuesday evening and bid good luck to a retiring employee. Frank Holman, Solid Waste Management Department Head received his retirement plaque from the City after 30 years of service. There will be a reception to honor Frank on Thursday from 2-4 at the Girl Scout Building.

The Commission approved the purchase of a metal detector for Municipal Court in the amount of $5,851.60.

12 new pieces of body armor was purchased for the Police Department on the rotation schedule in the amount of $8,083.56 with half of that amount to be reimbursed by the Federal Government.

The Sanitary and Discharge Agreement with National Beef was also approved as was the Industrial Wastewater Treatment and Discharge Agreement.
