Liberal City Commission Meets and Approves Insurance Renewal

The Liberal City Commission met on Tuesday evening at 5:30pm and the first action item was insurance renewal for the City. The Commission approved renewing with Employers Mutual through Al Shank Ins. In the amount of $587,344.00.

Commisioners also approved the Beautification Dept request for the Tree Match Program and the annual Flower and Shrub planting.

For the Golf Course, a new Hustler Rotary Mower and a new Top Dresser Mower were purchased as was the equipment and graphics to outfit the new Police Vehicles.

The Commission approved a rezone of a piece of property within the City’s 3 mile radius, and tabled the Board Appointment to the Housing Authority  Board pending further information.

The City Commission will take part in the Council of Governments meeting Thursday morning.
