Liberal City Commission Approves Chip Seal for City Streets

The Liberal City Commission met on Tuesday evening and approved the chip seal of the City streets with B&H Paving in the amount. $766,325.00.

The Commission approved Ordinance 4600 to allow a Child Care Center at 310 W. Pancake, Fellowship Baptist Church.

For the Police Department, the Commissioners approved the purchase of four Panasonic Toughbook CF-33’s with 12-inch screens, and approved to equip the three Dodge Durangos that were purchased from KHP as patrol vehicles with 3 Front partitions at $1740.00., 3 Cargo/Replacement back seats at $3900.00., 3 Window guard systems at $825.00., 3 Havis MDT mounting brackets and docks at $5400.00., and 3 Misc. wiring components. Total cost including installation will not exceed $22,000.00.

DV Douglass was awarded the bid to re-roof the Police Department in an amount not to exceed $270,000 to be paid from ARPA funds.

Commissioners approved the inspection agreement with Earles Engineering for the Holly Ridge addition in an amount not to exceed $143,000. This will be funded by the Street, Drainage, & Other Capital Improvement fund of the one-cent sales tax.
