The nine year old Cimarron River Rattlers won the state championship at Garden City Monday. They beat Fort Scott 8-1 and advance to the Midwest Plains Regional at Bismarck, North Dakota this weekend. The Rattlers won bracket games over Garden City (12-2) and Neosho River (17-8) Sunday. In bracket play, the Rattlers beat Paola 12-2, defeated Winfield 22-8, and lost a game in pool play to Fort Scott 12-7.
