LHS Track and Field finishes 4th and 8th in Goddard

The Liberal High School track teams competed in the Goddard Invitational on Friday. The boys finished fourth out of 14 teams. Liberal finished with 59 points. Maize won the meet with Bishop Carroll and Wichita Northwest finishing second and third respectively.

The LHS girls finished eighth at the meet with 41 points. Caitlin Bauer won the gold in the shot put and the discus. MaKayla McPhail won the discus. Andover won the meet with 81 points. Garden City, Bishop Carroll McPherson, and Maize rounded out the top five.

Next up for the Liberal track and field teams will be the Western Athletic Conference Meet in Dodge City this Thursday.
