LHS Spikers Split in Garden City

Liberal’s volleyball team split two matches against WAC opponents at the Garden Thursday evening. The Redskins defeated Great Bend 25-20 and 26-24. Liberal lost a close match to Garden City 24-26 and 24-26. Jada Mickens led Liberal with seven kills and Abbie Hebbert added five kills and three blocks. Hebbert passed at a 2.00 clip and Haylee Fowler also registered a 2.00 passing average. Liberal is 2-8 and hosts a quad September 15.
