LHS Speech and Drama Compete at South Gray

Liberal High School Speech and Drama took 21 entries Thursday night to South Gray High School. Of those, 9 broke into the final round and medaled. It was another tremendous showing from the LHS Speech & Drama team.

Five new individuals qualified for the State Competition. Those state qualifiers were:

Katie Classen in Informative (1st)
Sam Herrera & Leif Volden in Duet (1st)
Adolfo Almaraz in Impromptu Speaking (3rd)
Miguel Nicholas in Oration (2nd)

Other finalists were:
Katie Classen in Dramatic Solo (6th)
Adolfo Almaraz in Poetry (5th)
Leif Volden in Impromptu (4th)
Rylee Ott in Impromptu (6th)
Jennifer Reever & Stephanie Cruz-Ponce in Duet (5th)
