LHS Key Club Donates to Stepping Stone

KSCB News - December 12, 2013 4:53 pm

Pat Allsbury, executive director of the Stepping Stone Shelter, accepts a $100 check from Kylie Evans, president of the LHS Key Club. Members of the Key Club, shown here, raised funds through working Homecoming Concession Stand in order to give back to their community. “We really appreciate the support from the students,” said Allsbury, “Our homeless shelter has been really full this year plaus we continue to serve more meals than ever to the community. Gifts like these help us with costs that our grants don’t cover.” The students have donated to the following organization within the community: Big Brothers/Big Sisters, United Way, Stepping Stone Shelter, Southwest Miracles, Liberal Animal Shelter, and assisted a member’s family with medical expenses. The Key Club advisors are Kathy Croy and Sherry Ficke.
