LHS Girls Dodge Opportunities in Loss

KSCB News - May 11, 2012 7:21 am

Liberal’s girls showed character Thursday night. Rather than laying down and accepting another defeat, the LHS girls soccer team scrapped and fought for every loose ball Thursday on Senior Day at Redskin Field. But missed too many scoring opportunities in a 1-0 loss to Dodge City. On one occasion in the first half, Liberal fumbled the fall away with a wide open net in front of them. Dodge City (10-5-1, and 6-1-1 in the WAC) scored a goal into the south net after a hand ball against Liberal at the 16:11 mark of the second half. Liberal is 2-13-1 overall and finishes 0-7-1 in the WAC.
