Letter Carrier Drive Successful

KSCB News - May 10, 2010 12:00 am

Susan Roberts, Homecare director who runs the Liberal Food Cupboard, helped to unload the 3,534 pounds of food that was donated during the “Stamp Out Hunger” food drive. This was an increase of almost 500 pounds from the previous year. The Liberal Letter Carriers picked up the food from Liberal residences on Saturday and delivered it to the Liberal Post Office. A truck, donated by Danny Burtzloff of LMH Homes and loaded by Seward County United Way volunteers, transported the food to the Presbyterian Church which has housed the food cupboard since it was founded in 1979. For more information about HomeCare Inc., contact Roberts at 624-0714
