Lady Skins Shut Down Guymon

Liberal’s defense stood tall in a physical 49-25 win at Guymon on Tuesday night. Guymon went 0-14 from three point range as LHS packed in a zone around standout post player Meagan Bellar.
LHS led 13-12 after one quarter and led 21-16 at the half and 28-21 after three. The Lady Redskins dominated the fourth quarter 21-4. Katie Horyna scored a career high 18. Audrey Gilmore had nine points, five rebounds, and five assists. Bellar scored 15 for Guymon.
Liberal is 2-0 and wins their third straight over rival Guymon who is 0-1. Liberal hosts Hereford Friday night at 6 for the Conestoga/Community Bank Classic. Redskin Pre-game begins at 5:45 on 1270 and kscbnews.net. Guymon plays Hugoton Thursday in the Blue and Red Classic.
