Lady Saints Shoot Past Butler

Seward hit 51 percent of their shots in a 79-53 win in the ‘Power Plant’ in El Dorado over Butler Saturday night. Seward finishes the regular season 25-5 and 13-3 in the Jayhawk West. The Lady Saints finish as the number two seed in the west. Vanessa Simmons and Rachel Barnes scored 13 a piece in the win. Barnes added nine rebounds for Seward who led 42-22 at halftime of their 10th straight win in El Dorado. The Lady Saints host 12-18 Kansas City Tuesday night in the Green House for the opening round of the Region 6 Tournament. The game will air on B107.5 and kscb.net. Seward won the region title in 1999, 2002, 2004, 2005, and 2007.
