Lady Saints Receive Bid to NJCAA Tournament

The Seward Lady Saint basketball team isn’t finished yet. The Lady Saints received their first ever at large birth into the NJCAA Tournament which begins next week in Salina. Seward is 27-5 and tied for second in the Jayhawk West while finishing in the semifinals in the Region 6 Tournament. They put together an impressive regular season resume. Seward has wins over #5 New Mexico, #12 State Fair, and #23 College of Southern Idaho. Seward also defeated quality teams like Coffeyville, Butler, Cowley, Hill, Weatherford, and Midland this season. It’s Seward’s first trip to the national tournament since 2007 and sixth overall. Seward’s games will air on B107.5 and kscbnews.net.
