Lady Saints Advance on to the Region VI Title Game

Rachel Barnes had a monster game for the Seward County Lady Saints on Sunday scoring 41 points, 16 rebounds, 9 assists, and 7 steals as the Lady Saints rolled over Cowley County 86-64 to advance on to the Region VI Championship Game.

Seward led 41-23 at halftime, and outrebounded Cowley 54-40. The Lady Saints also forced 29 turnovers in the game.

Nadia Rosario added 13 points for Seward, Vaneza Junior scored 11. The Lady Saints are now 31-2 overall.

The Lady Saints will play in the Region VI Championship Game on Monday at 6 p.m. for the third time in four years. They will face the Jayhawk East Champs Labette who beat Seward at the Green House 69-67 back in December. The game will air on B107.5 and right here on kscbnews.net.
