Knott Hopes Year Three is the Year for LHS Softball

All indicators are pointing toward improvement for the Liberal High School softball team in 2012. Liberal was 3-18 two years ago and 6-15 last year. They return eight starters for third year head coach Pat Knott.
Liberal returns junior catcher Micah Hasik, senior first baseman Caty Hinnergardt, junior first baseman and pitcher Jayce Darroch, junior second baseman Riley Hay, senior pitcher and utility player Ramey Petty, junior shortstop Cynthia Cisneros, senior third baseman Emily Bayouth, and junior left field Kaitlyn Ralston were starters last year.
Liberal won their opener at home against Ulysses 9-3 and 16-1.
