Kansas Lottery’s Holiday Millionaire Raffle Sells Out

KSCB News - December 28, 2010 1:04 pm

Monday, December 28, 2010

It’s official! The Holiday Millionaire Raffle is a sell-out. Ticket number 150,000 was sold at 5:28 p.m. December 27. This is the second year for the Holiday Millionaire Raffle. The $20 tickets went on sale October 1, 2010.

“The raffle has been met with statewide enthusiasm from our players and retailers,” said Executive Director Ed Van Petten. “The game has the best odds of winning a million dollars of any game we’ve ever offered.”

In addition to the grand prize of $1 million, there are five $50,000 prizes and five hundred $500 prizes.

Someone is currently holding a raffle ticket that will be worth $1 million on December 30, 2010 when the Kansas Lottery announces the winning numbers. “We are encouraging everyone who bought a raffle ticket to sign it and keep it in a safe place until the announcement of the winning numbers,” said Van Petten. “Good luck to everyone who bought a ticket.”

A list of all winning raffle numbers will be available on www.kslottery.com after 12:00 noon on December 30, so players can check their tickets against the winning ticket numbers. Tickets can also be checked at any Kansas Lottery retailer, including the Check-a-Ticket machines.
