K-9 Memorial Unveiling Date has Changed

Joe Denoyer - February 10, 2023 11:42 am

The Seward County Sheriff’s Office would like to invite the community for the unveiling of our K9 memorial stone. This event will take place at Restlawn Cemetery on north highway 83 on Thursday, February 23rd at 3 p.m. We will be dedicating this area as a final resting place for the K9 law enforcement service dogs within Seward County.

Resolution 2022-06 was passed in April of 2022, Authorizing Burial of Seward County Law Enforcement Agency Canines in Restlawn Cemetery, by the Seward County Board of Commissioners. The K9 memorial stone was generously donated by Hornung Funeral Home.
Our K9’s are an integral part of our law enforcement family and we believe they should be memorialized the same way as the rest of our family in blue.

If there are any questions, please contact Sergeant Bo Jacobs at (620) 309-2030.
