Juana Rivero Crowned LHS Homecoming Queen

Juana Rivero was crowned 2011 Liberal High School Winter Homecoming Queen Friday night in the Big House. The queen candidates were Jaquelinne Herrera, Zayra Luhan, and Juana Rivero. The junior attendant was Morgan Pitts while the sophomore attendant was Jessica Martinez and the freshman attendant was Karina Michele. Rivero was crowned during halftime of Friday night’s boys basketball game against Hays. The Redskins won the game 44-41 on a buzzer beater by Jade Cathey. LHS students wore pink to raise money for Breast Cancer Awareness.
