Jacob McCarter is Mead Lumber Athlete of the Week

Liberal senior defenseman Jacob McCarter is the Mead Lumber Athlete of the Week. McCarter and the Redskins are 11-6 and play 12-3-2 Bishop Carroll Thursday night at 6 in Wichita for a regional final. The Skins are the five seed and knocked out Great Bend 6-2 Tuesday night while the Eagles are the four seed and defeated Salina Central 6-0 Monday in Wichita. McCarter also plays baseball, participates in Stand Out, and NHS. McCarter is one of the senior leaders of the LHS team.
