Hornets Sting LHS Softball Girls

KSCB News - May 18, 2011 6:24 am

Liberal avoided the big inning but Valley Center scored in every inning and LHS failed to score after the first inning. The result was a seven inning game but still a Valley Center win 11-1 over the LHS softball team at regionals in Great Bend Tuesday. Liberal finishes 6-15 which is twice as many wins as last year. The Lady Skins scored in the first when Emily Bayouth drove home Riley Hay. But Valley scored three in the first, one in the second, three in the third, one in the fourth, two in the fifth, and one in the sixth. Jai Chapman’s defense at shortstop kept Liberal in the game early as she turned two double plays.
