High Plains Heritage Foundation to Hold its Annual Meeting

The High Plains Heritage Foundation will hold its annual meeting on Thursday, March 26, at the Cooper Clark Room at the Liberal Memorial Library 519 N. Kansas Ave. The event will start at 5:30 p.m. with the formal meeting at 6 p.m. which will include election of directors and officers. Refreshments will be served.
The High Plains Heritage Foundation is a community foundation serving as a repository and distributor of charitable funds serving the communities of the high plains of Southwest Kansas and the Panhandle region.  It is organized for the purposes of:

  • Improving the quality of life for the people and communities in its region.
  • Improving cultural and education development for the people in its region.
  • Assisting individuals and groups exercise programs intended to improve the wellbeing of the regional community.

The High Plains Heritage Foundation was incorporated in Kansas in October 2003.  It received its Internal Revenue Service recognition of exemption as a 501(c)3 organization in June 2004. The Foundation board of directors oversees the building and managing of the foundations assets, assesses the community’s needs, and distributes the fund according to the purposes intended.
