High Flying Cicchetti Signs at Dayton

Seward pitcher Sydney Cicchetti was sure when she made her visit. The sensation Seward pitcher from Trail, British Columbia visited Dayton and knew it was the right place for her. She signed her national letter of intent Monday in the All American Room at SCCC/ATS to pitch for the Flyers. Cicchetti is 23-3 this season with a 1.33 ERA. She has 197 strikouts and seven shutouts. Cicchetti is 42-9 in two years at Seward which is the best winning percentage in Seward history. She is second in school history in strikeouts and third in overall wins. Cicchetti and the 37-11 Saints play Garden City at noon Saturday in Wichita. Cicchetti and Seward head coach Andrea Gustafson will be guests during the Sportsguys Tuesday morning on Talkradio 1270 and kscbnews.net.
