Helm Named School Board President

Brock Kappelmann - July 11, 2017 6:06 am

The USD 480 school board met Monday night for their reorganization meeting.  The board approved Steve Helm at president and Travis Combs at vice president.

The board approved the re-finance portion of bonds for the new schools.  This gave the district and tax payers $698,200 savings in interest.  The board made a similar move last year which saved 1.2 million.

The board approved a new waterline for the old West Middle School building which will become part of the LHS campus.  That cost is $36,618.
