Hallie West is Hay Rice and Associates Athlete of the Week

Liberal freshman runner Hallie West is the Hay Rice and Associates Athlete of the Week. West finished ninth at the regional cross country meet Saturday in Wichita. She is the only LHS runner to qualify for state in 2019 and becomes the first female from Liberal to make state in 6A. West ran the race in 20:24 for her season and personal best. West’s time is the best 6A regional time in the two years Liberal has been in 6A. West also plays basketball and runs track and field. She will compete at state in Lawrence on Saturday at Rim Rock Farms.
