Guymon Man Injured in Friday Evening Accident

A one vehicle injury collision occurred Friday February 26th at approximately 9:35pm on county road Mile 45, 15 feet north of the intersection with county road “G”, approximately 3 miles north of Hooker in Texas County.

A 2007 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Rudy Daniel Gonzales, 57, of Guymon,  was northbound on County Road Mile 45 when the pick up departed the roadway to the right. Gonzales overcorrected and departed the roadway to the left. The Silverado overturned one time coming to rest on its wheels. Gonzales was transported by Hooker EMS to Southwest Medical Center in Liberal where he was then transferred by Life Save Air Ambulance to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita. He was admitted for trunk internal injuries.

Gonzales was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident.
