GUYMON, OK (August 30, 2024) – The Guymon Community Enrichment Foundation (GCEF) announced today that it has distributed flood recovery donations to more than 30 families affected by the severe flooding that struck Texas County in June 2024.

The distribution, totaling nearly $50,000, was made possible through the generous contributions of several organizations, including:

– The Chester Edwin Nash and Mary Nash Charitable Foundation

– Operation Round Up

– Touchstone Energy OK Disaster Relief Fund Committee

– Guymon Ministerial Alliance

– Invenergy

– GridLiance Transmission

– Guymon First Presbyterian Church

GCEF also contributed additional funds to further support recovery efforts.

“We are incredibly thankful for the support of these generous donors,” said Dianne Roberts, Treasurer of GCEF. “Their contributions make a difference in helping our community recover from this devastating flood.”

The affected residents applied online and through paper applications available at the City of Goodwell, the Guymon Chamber of Commerce, and the City of Hooker.
