Great Bend Girls Turn Up Second Half Pressure

After Liberal hung tough for a half, #5 Great Bend turned up the defensive pressure in a 56-39 win over Liberal Friday night in the Big House. Liberal committed 28 turnovers in the loss and the Lady Panthers won despite going 2-20 from three point range. Great Bend led just 20-16 at halftime. Jai Chapman scored 13 in the loss. Great Bend defeats Liberal for the eighth straight time in girls basketball. The Lady Panthers are 12-2 overall and 4-0 in the WAC. Liberal is 5-8 overall and 1-2 in the WAC. Liberal hosts 4-8 Dodge City Saturday night at 6 in the Big House with 5:45 Redskin Pre-game on 1270 and kscbnews.net.
