Several police officers in Garden City were attacked during a brawl at a bar. It happened early Sunday morning around 1:40 a.m. at Rosie’s Good Times Bar in the 200 block of West Fulton according to a news release.

Officers from the Garden City Police Department and Finney County Sheriff’s Department arrived to find a large group of people involved in a fight. The fight was investigated and the group was told to leave the bar.

During that time, one man refused to leave. Officers attempted to take him into custody. He resisted arrest.

As police placed him into custody, the crowd became hostile towards the officers and began throwing beer bottles and attacking them. Additional law enforcement responded to the scene and arrested several suspects.

They have been identified as the following:

Two Garden City Police Officers and two Finney County Sheriff’s Deputies received injuries during the fight and required medical treatment. They were treated and released from St Catherine Hospital.

Police say several suspects fled while officers were trying to control the scene. The investigation is ongoing and additional suspects have been identified.

Charges range from inciting a riot, battery on a law enforcement officer, aggravated battery on a law enforcement officer, interference with a law enforcement officer, and prohibited acts in clubs or taverns.
