Fourth Quarter Lifts Lawton Girls Over Lady Skins

KSCB News - December 10, 2011 8:05 am

The Lady Redskins were competitive for three quarters, but class 6A Lawton, Oklahoma used an 18-4 fourth quarter to blow out Liberal 57-36 Friday night in the Conestoga/Community Bank Classic.

Lawton (1-1) was 1-21 last year and lost to Liberal 55-37 but looks to be much improved this year after a 50-46 loss to Amarillo power Palo Duro.

The Lady Wolverines led 10-4 after one quarter and 24-17 at halftime. The Lady Redskins crept closer in the third quarter and trailed 24-19 and 26-22 in the third before Lawton took a 39-32 lead after three quarters.

Liberal had no answer for 6′ Alicia Caddy who scored 18.

Justice Norah scored nine.

Liberal is 1-1 and hosts 2-2 Bartlesville at 5 p.m. on Talkradio 1270 and Windjammer Channel 9.

Bartlesville beat Garden City 54-46 Friday afternoon in the Big House.
