Finney County authorities have identified the three people killed in a fire early Sunday.

Fire crews saw heavy smoke and flames when they arrived at 4220 E. Nancy Avenue #1108 at 7:20 a.m.

Firefighters found two children in one bedroom and a 26-year-old woman in another bedroom. All were pronounced dead.

The victims have been identified as Nichole Savoy, 26, Bryn Savoy, 6 and Madelyn Savoy, 22 months.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Finney County Sheriff’s Office, Garden City Fire Department, and Kansas State Fire Marshal’s Office.

A fire in the Garden City area killed three people Sunday morning.

Ken Seirer, battalion chief with the Garden City Fire Department, confirmed three people died as a result of injuries they sustained in the fire, although he would not release the names of the deceased and the address of the residence on Sunday night.

The GCFD responded to the call at 7:20 a.m. Sunday, Seirer said.

Details on the fire will be released later today, as the investigation is on going.
