Fatality Accident Claims A Life Thursday Evening

A fatality collision occurred on Thursday evening at 5:14pm on Highway 83, 2.2 miles North of Turpin
in Beaver County.

The accident occurred when a 2012 Hyundai three door vehicle driven by an individual whose ID is under investigation, was traveling south on United States Highway 834. when he crossed the center line and struck the rear duals of a northbound 2016 Freightliner, driven by William Price, 42 year old male of Rives, Tennessee. The driver of the Hyundai was pinned for approximately 4 hours and 15 minutes, and was pronounced dead on scene from head, trunk internal,
trunk external, arm and leg injuries. The body was transported to the Medical Examiner’s Office in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

A passenger in the Hyundai, whose name is being withheld pending next of kin notification, a 32 year old male of Grand Island,
Florida, was transported by Seward County EMS to Southwest Medical Center in Liberal, Kansas. he was later transferred by Medi-flight to
Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas where he was admitted in critical condition with trunk internal injuries.

The driver of the Freightliner William Price, was transported by Seward County EMS to Southwest Medical Center in Liberal, Kansas. He was treated for an arm injury and released.
