Fast Start Fizzles in Hays

After hushing a jam packed homecoming crowd in Hays, Liberal saw a first half lead evaporate quickly in the second half in a Hays 60-46 win over Liberal. The Redskins led 10-2 and 17-8 in the first half before foul trouble and turnovers began to mount. Hays led 22-20 at the half but led 42-28 at the end of three. Liberal committed 27 turnovers in the loss.

J.J. Lewis led the Redskins with 13 in the loss while Blake Stout added 11 and William Ross scored 10.

Liberal falls to 5-12 overall and 1-4 in the WAC while Hays improves to 11-5 overall and 3-2 in the WAC.
