Explosion in Garden City Involves Liberal Men

On Wednesday, March 27th, Finney County Sheriff Deputies were notified of an explosion in south central Finney County. Upon arrival, Deputies found that two men from Liberal, KS had been working on an oil tank in the area when their work caused an explosion inside the tank. Both men were severely injured in the blast and were ultimately flown to Wichita, KS for medical care. One of the men succumbed to his injuries in Wichita. This incident is not being investigated as a criminal incident.

There has been a fund set up at the Bank Of Beaver in Liberal for the family. It is the Moreno Family Fund.
