Liberal senior tennis player Emmanuel Garcia is this week’s Hay Rice and Associates Athlete of the Week.  Garcia won the Dodge City tournament April 24 and the Garden City tournament Monday.  He went 2-1 at Emporia Tuesday.  He is 14-6 on the season and is predicted as a two seed at the upcoming 6A regional at Maize May 9.  He has defeated all of the WAC singles players this season.   He made to state in his sophomore and junior seasons.  Garcia is also in That Liberal Band, NHS, and Ping Pong Club.  He coaches two youth soccer teams and coaches youth tennis.  Garcia and the Redskins compete at the WAC Tennis Tournament at Dodge City Monday.
