Destyni Lucero is Mead Lumber Athlete of the Week

Liberal junior cross country runner Destyni Lucero is the Mead Lumber Athlete of the Week. She finished fourth at the regional meet to help the LHS girls win the regional. The varsity qualifies for state Saturday in Lawrence. The girls race begins at noon. Lucero competed at state as a freshman and sophomore and qualified for state in track and field last spring. She also plans on playing basketball this winter.
