Destyni Lucero is Athlete of the Week

Liberal sophomore runner Destyni Lucero is the Mead Lumber Athlete of the Week. Lucero placed fifth at the WAC meet Thursday at Arkalon Park after a second place finish at Lakin. Her best time has been 15:48. She is trying to qualify for state for a second straight year. Lucero’s interview aired Thursday during the Sportsguys.
