Community Meltdown Winners Announced

Organizers of Community Meltdown 2009 are pleased to the announce winners in this years challenge. Taking first place with a total weight loss of 50 pounds were the “Super Heroes In Training”. The team consited of Frank and Joan Underhill, Shadra Thomas, and Susan Merklin. The winning team recieved $200.00. In second place was the KLKT team “Hunka-Chunka”. The team consisted of Steve McKee, Dr. Jack Jacob, Chris Jewell, and Kevin McCloud. Their combined weight loss was 46.5 pounds which won them $100.00. Taking third and the $50.00 prize was the “Gut Busters”. The team mebers were Diane Tillson, Doris VanWyhe, Donna Denoyer, and James Kulow. Their loss was a total of 43 pounds. 38 teams entered the Community Meltdown competition, and the total loss in Seward County was measured at 675.5 pounds.
