On November 19, 2025 at approximately 3:48 PM, Liberal Police officers and emergency personnel responded to a non-injury accident at the intersection of W. Pancake Blvd and S. Pershing Ave.

Through investigation, officers determined that a gray 2018 Buick Enclave was traveling west on Pancake Blvd when a black 2015 Chevrolet Malibu ran the red light, causing the Buick to strike the Chevrolet. After the initial collision, the Chevrolet then struck a gray 2016 Mercedes C-Class.

No injuries were reported. The driver of the Chevrolet Malibu was issued citations for running a red light and driving without license or expired license. Due to extensive damage, both the Buick Enclave and Chevrolet Malibu were towed from the scene.
