Bombs Away on Sunday for Lady Saints

Seward’s softball team went 3-2 at the Colby Tournament this weekend. On Saturday, Seward lost to #17 Western Nebraska 2-0 and lost a third straight to Otero 9-3 before an 11-3 win over Trinidad State in five innings.

Sunday, Seward beat Lamar 8-3 as Stephanie Mark blasted two homeruns while Marissa Chavez hit a homer. Seward finished the tournament with an 18-7 win over McCook. Seward blasted four homers including two from Becky Allen while Stephanie Mark hit her third of the weekend and Jenna Keen also went yard.

Seward is 25-20 and plays at rival Garden City on Wednesday.
