BJ’s Bomb Aurora Again

The Liberal Bee Jays are taking a page out of last year’s book with early blowout wins over non conference opponents. Liberal pounded the Aurora Bombers 16-5 at Brent Gould Field Saturday night. Liberal scored two in the first, five in the second, two in the third, four in the fifth, one in the sixth, and one in the seventh for 16 runs. The Bombers scored all five runs in the ninth inning.

Wichita State’s Josh Smith pitched seven scoreless innings allowing just two hits in his BJ debut.

Northwood’s Eddie Arroyo was 3-4 with a double while Texas Tech’s Kelby Tomlinson returned to the BJ’s with a 3-5 night which included a double. San Diego’s Reyn Nagamine was 2-3 with a double while Texas Arlington’s Greg McCall backed up his two homerun night Friday with two doubles Saturday.

The Bee Jays are 4-0 and host the Colorado Lynx Sunday night at 7 p.m. on Brent Gould Field. Crop Productions Services is the buyout sponsor.
