Bee Jays Take Game One Over Clearwater

The Liberal Bee Jays defeated the Clearwater Outlaws 9-2 Friday night at Brent Gould Field.

The Bee Jays plated four in the second.  Shane Sirdashney singled. Colton Moore doubled him home. Tristan Stacy singled home a run and Jordan Williams doubled home a run. Clearwater scored one in the fourth and one in the seventh to make it 4-2. Trevor MacDonald’s RBI single gave Liberal a 5-2 lead.  Connor Emmet launched his ninth homer to make it 8-2.

Payton Strambler worked four solid innings.  Jorge Acevedo went three innings.  Trey Goodrich went two scoreless to close it.

Liberal is 23-10 overall and 17-10 in the Kansas Collegiate.  The same two teams play Saturday night at 7 at Brent Gould Field.  Sharp McQueen and Apple Hutch are buyout sponsors.  The game airs on 1270 and kscbnews.net.
