Bee Jays Split in Derby

The Liberal Bee Jays cruised to victory Sunday in a 9-1 win over the Derby Twins.

Liberal added eight hits. Brett Davis earned the win pitching 7 2/3 innings giving up just one run off of six hits. He added seven strikeouts and walked just one.

The Bee Jays and Twins have split the season series thus far as they are currently 3-3 against each other. They split the four game series in Liberal and have split the first two in Derby. They will conclude their season series against each other on Saturday and Sunday in Derby.

The Bee Jays improve to 18-16 overall and 10-13 in the Jayhawk League. They will travel to Dodge City on Tuesday for a league game that will begin at 7 p.m. The game will air on Talkradio 1270 and kscb.net
